Curry Burger

Curry Burger is awesome

2hr burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1.5 tbsp red curry paste
  • 5 large, fresh basil leaves
  • 1 lime
  • piece of ginger 1 and 1/2- 2 inches long, 1/2 inch diameter.
  • 1/4 med/small white onion.
  • salt, pepper
  • small clove of garlic
  • rocket salad
  • 1kg chanterelles
  • butter
  • 1 egg
  • balsamic vinegar
  • olive oil
  • cheese

Directions

Before you start

  1. Set a small amount (2 tbsp) of the meat aside for the chantrelles.
  2. Wash the rocket, set aside to dry.
  3. Clean mushrooms, set aside.

Prepare meat

  1. add curry, egg, chopped basil, chopped onions, 1/2 lime juice
  2. make four patties
  3. salt & pepper outside

Making the burger

  1. Put burgers on grill (~4 minutes each side – only flip once).

While burger is cooking

  1. In 1 tbsp of butter, saute garlic, add meat set aside earlier, brown meat, add chanterelles, saute
  2. when juices dry up, add lime.
  3. cover, and set aside.
  4. sprinkle rocket with olive oil & vinegar, set aside

Put it all together

  1. Put buns in oven to toast. watch them so they don’t burn.
  2. Put cheese on burgers to melt when there’s 1 minute left
  3. Get burgers on bun, top with changrelles, then rocket – voila

  • Serve with side of fries
