Gnocchi with spicy sausage are awesome

Ingredients

  • 250 gram gnocchi
  • 2 spicy sausages
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • tenderstem broccoli
  • grated parmesan

Directions

  1. Heat up the olive oil in a large pan on medium heat, add the sausage and break it up with a spoon, cook it until browned. Add the tomato paste and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the gnocchi, drain but save 1/2 cup of the cooking water.
  3. Steam the broccoli.
  4. Add the gnocchi and broccoli to the pan with the sausage. Add butter and mascarpone and half of the cooking water. Cook it all for a minute and stir it all together. Add the remaining cooking water, stir.
  5. Serve with grated parmesan on top.

Notes

If sausage is not spicy enough just add some cayenne pepper.
