One Pot Mac & Cheese
Mac & Cheese balls is awesome
Ingredients
- 1.5 Cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 225g Macaroni*
- œ teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Small pinch cayenne pepper?
- 1 cup processed cheese slice (see combos)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (see combos)
Directions
- Bring to milk & water boil
- Add pasta (it seems like too much liquid, but it’s not)
- simmer for(8 minutes or time)
- in same pot, add sliced cheese
- stir constantly, until cheese is completely melted, about 1 minute.
- remove from heat, stir in cheddar/combo and mustard until evenly distributed but not melted.
- cover saucepan and let stand for 5 minutes
- add ceyenne, give a final stir. ready to eat, or leave covered until ready to eat.
Notes
- smaller ones are better
- process cheesed slices are for the emulsifier (and colour)
Cheese combos
combo 1 - the local
- 75g asda/wykefarms extra mature cheddar
- 75g sainsburys emmental
- 7 slices(120g) asda/yellow for processed slices
