Potato and feta gratin with sage

Potato and feta gratin is awesome

Ingredients

  • 10 leaves of sage
  • 2 tbsp cut of sage
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 shallots, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 300 gram feta cheese
  • 1.5 dl milk
  • 1.5 dl single cream (or whipping cream)
  • 800 gram potatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt & peppar

Directions

  1. Lightly fry the sage leaves in 1 tbsp butter. Set aside.
  2. Add oil to the pan and the rest of the butter and fry the shallots until soft. Add the cut up sage. Put aside.
  3. Put the feta cheese in a bowl, add the cream and milk and mix.
  4. Peel potatoes, cut in think slices and boil for about 6-7 minutes. Rinse off.
  5. Mix potatoes with onion and sage mixture.
  6. Cover the bottom of a pan with potatoes, then with feta cream, then potatoes and so on. Top layer should be potatoes.
  7. Bake for 30-40min. Add the sage leaves and serve.

  • BUY 2 PACKAGES FETA! (packages are usually 250, it feels like enough, but it’s not)
