Salsa Verde

Green Tomatillo Salsa is awesome

Ingredients

  • 1 can tomatillos (450g yield)
  • 3-4 jalapeño chiles (100g)
  • 1/2 white* onion
  • 1 big fistful of cilantro (size?)
  • 3 big-ass pieces garlic, 4/5 small
  • Salt to taste (~1/2 tsp fine salt)

Directions

  • remove tomatillos from tin, take out of water, put in blender*
  • bring small pot of water to boil
  • boil: chiles, garlic, onion for 8 minutes
  • remove and put in blender with cilantro, salt and lime
  • (save 1/2 cup liquid, add to blender)
  • blend
  • lime/salt to taste

Directions

  1. if tomatillos are fresh, you must also put them in boling water
  2. *if no blender, in bowl/ 600ml container for immersion blender. if no immersion blender, i guess
